I wasn’t sure whether to write this post or not.

Just over two weeks ago, my youngest darling cat, TC died. It is so sad.

I have chosen this photograph to share from a few years ago. I think we had come home from a camping trip. TC’s favourite thing to do would be to find a new box or blanket to sit on.

She had been fine, eating, drinking, playing with the dog everything normal. One day, she started breathing in a weird way. We booked an appointment with the vets and because of everything that is going on, the only time they could see us was on the Wednesday. This Wednesday happened to be my birthday.

She had a tumour and we found out too late to do anything about it.

I love my pets and even make reference to them in my author bio on Amazon, Goodreads and various other places. I wanted to say RIP to TC before I change the ‘two cats’ to ‘one cat’.

We are still missing her loads. The dog doesn’t know what to do with herself and the other cat meows loudly at night.

This is the card that made me laugh after we came home from the vets. From my friend Carla that I’ve known since training to be a nurse in the mid-90s.

Welcome! Thanks for visiting my author blog. I write every day, I read every day, so we most likely have lots in common! I currently have seven books available on Amazon '1962', 'Piccalilly' 'Quirky Tales to Make Your Day' and the Curmudgeon Avenue series. I live near Manchester UK with my fabulous husband and wonderful, gorgeous grownup daughter, two cats and one dog. I write three types of blog; 1) Fiction written by myself and accompanied by one of my suitable photos or sketches. 2) Ramblings and amusing observations on life. I do not tend to write about anything serious (but admire those that do). 3) NEW! Book reviews. Although my priority is completing my next novel, if I like something I will share it. If I don't have anything nice to say, however, I won't say anything at all. Please see 'contacts' on menu. Sharing is caring, and so is reciprocation!

  1. I am so sorry to hear about your youngest kitty passing away. I know how hard it is and I wish there was something I could do for you. Several years ago, we had a little girl kitty we took in from my husband’s grandmother on his father’s side. We had her for about 5 years and she ended up cancer. I did everything to keep her comfortable, but the day before her appointment to be put to sleep, she past away at home. I had been up with her all the night the previous night, it was awful. Our older cat was diagnosed recently with early stage kidney disease and is on a special diet now. We have had her for 15 years. Please know I am thinking of you and wish there was something I could do for you.
